Matcha Latte (Diary free)

Matcha Latte Recipe (Diary Free)


½ tsp of matcha
1 cup of coconut milk (almond milk also works well) 
½ tsp of rice malt syrup, maple syrup or honey (optional)


1). Mix ½ tsp of matcha with a small amount of hot water (not boiling).  Adding boiling water to matcha powder can burn the powder and result in a bitter taste.  We recommend boiling the water and letting it sit for about 5 minutes.  Alternatively, mix in some cold water first and then add the boiling water.

2). Bring the milk to a boil using a small saucepan over medium heat. If you have a coffee machine, you can use the steam wand to the same temperature as you would normally have your milk. 

3). Add the milk to the matcha and then add in a sweetener of your choice.

For iced matcha lattes, let it cool then pour over ice for the perfect summer drink.
